Sugar hair removal is an ancient technique used to remove unwanted body hair using a sugar paste consisting of 3 ingredients: sugar, water & lemon juice. The sugar paste is applied against the growth of hair and then removed, allowing hairs to be pulled out by the root.
Sugaring is gentle on your skin, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, reduces irritation, and can slow down your hair growth overtime.
The sugar paste is never hot; I wouldn't be able to work with it if it was! The sugar paste is applied around room temperature.
A nice length is 1/4" long, roughly the length of a grain of rice. This lets the sugar paste grip the hair properly for smoother results. If you’ve been shaving, it's best to wait around 2 weeks before booking to ensure your hair is long enough.
Everyone is different, but most clients find sugaring gentler than waxing because the sugar only sticks to your hair, not your skin. The more consistent you are with appointments, the easier it gets.
Typically 3–4 weeks. With regular sugaring, many clients notice their hair grows back finer, softer, and slower over time.
Absolutely- you just need to wear a tampon or menstrual cup. It's no problem at all! Also keep in mind that your skin may feel a bit more sensitive during that time.
Loose fitted clothes that are easy to take on/off or roll up are best! Think loose dresses, oversized tees, anything that isn't going to be tight or rub up against after your service. Tight clothing such as leggings or jeans can cause friction, discomfort and irritation after your service.
Pretty much anywhere there’s hair! Popular areas include legs, underarms, face, bikini, and of course, the full Brazilian. The only area I don't sugar is eyebrows. I do have incredible recommendations for local businesses though if it's eyebrows you're looking for!
100%! The paste is made from just sugar, lemon, and water. It’s natural, gentle, and safe for most skin types- including sensitive.
